How roman weapons were made
Roman weapons were mainly made by hand, because they did not have machines to help them. They often had to use rocks, to sharpen their weapons. They would also use fire to harden some weapons.
One early weapon they used was called a sling. The sling was a weapon the early romans used. A expert could toss a rock up to 500 yards. The sling would be made out of one of these 4 choices...
*Pliable Hide
*Sinew
*Leather
*Cord
One strip would attach to one side of the pouch, and another strip, to the other side of the pouch, thus making a sling. The sling, was in general, a very simple weapon, and easy to use, once you got the hang of it.

Another early weapon, was, one of the most heard of, the spear. The spear consisted of a long stick, with a spearhead tied to the oppisite side of the stick. It could be thrown, or it also be used in close combat, to stab enemies. They would sharpen the spearhead, or they would fire harden it to make sure it was sturdy. These spearheads would be made out of stone. Though later on, along with all of the other weapons romans used, they evolved, and were made with iron, steel, and soft metals.
So to conclude, the romans weapons would be made by, hand, with fire, or sharpend with stones. Later on these weapons were then made of iron, steel, silver, and soft metals. The Romans weapons were useful in combat. The Romans were skilled with weapons.
